KCAT TV's popular in-person multimedia camps for ages 9 to 14 year olds offer a unique chance to experience live TV, movie making, podcasting and more!  The excitement begins with your camper's ideas which kicks off a fun-filled week of  producing a live TV show in the morning and a short film or podcast in the afternoon.  Each camper will have hands-on experiences as we rotate through the following categories:   Scriptwriting & Acting, Directing, Podcasting, On-Location Filming & Cinematography, Post-Production Editing and more.

All TV shows, films, commercials, and podcasts will be written, directed, produced, and edited exclusively by campers under the direction of our experienced KCAT staff!  Each week will be filled with exciting activities, in addition to learning all about TV and video production.  Every Friday during TV camp, excitement fills the air as the campers' show "goes live" on the KCAT TV Channel for friends and family to watch.  Every Friday at Movie camp, kids share their work at their very own premier party culminating in an end-of-the-summer Film Festival at the Los Gatos Theatre!  Friends and families are invited to the red carpet event to view their kids' movies on the big screen... a sold out event last year.
